Ruger Redhawk Date Of Manufacture

I have a 7.5' which according to Ruger's serial number list, was made in 1984; a 5.5' shows to be made in 1995; and a 4.2' made in 2008. All three are stainless steel. I have interest in a collection of first year models if I can find out what year to look for, and if I can find them. I just checked my Redhawk out, mine is 501-117xx, has 10 serrations on the barrel top. That makes it a 1984, I was off by a year going from memory It seems to be outside that serial range in the bottom of ptblank's post. Shipping

Envelopes and Bubble Mailers ship USPS. Large items that don't fit in an envelope or bubble mailer will ship USPS Flat Rate. Items that don't fit flat rate will be shipped FedEx unless subject to SSR or Freight. Our USPS flat rate boxes start as $10.95 (Small), $15.95 (Medium) & $20.95 (Large).
In addition to the above prices for USPS shipped flat rates, a $1-$5.00 handling fee per item will be added to the cost. A max of $5.00 per invoice.
For purchases that don't fit in flat rate boxes or envelopes, there is a $25/hour fee due to the cost of extra materials & time (Min $12.50).
All international purchases will go priority mail.
If special shipping or freight is required there will be a $10.00 admin fee for dropping off items to be packed/shipped by FedEx or UPS in addition to their costs.
Freight is an option for larger items & furniture, these lots as marked SSRF. Contacting and securing a freight company is solely the buyers responsibility. We do not crate, package, or pallet items for the freight company to ship. Please make sure your selected freight company is aware of and can handle your needs.
High value items over $100 require insurance, which will automatically be added to the shipping & handling cost.

Items will usually ship within 10 business days or 2 weeks of payment being received.
Freight options will take longer based on the availability of the freight company.
